By far one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever stitched is this Raymond Crawford Mr and Mrs Bell. Of course I wanted to stitch something special to commemorate our wedding- but this canvas turned out so much better than I ever could have imagined. I know it is a family heirloom that we will treasure for years to come.
Do you love using decorative stitches but are unsure how to pick your own stitches without a stitch guide? When I’m teaching, I find that this is one of the areas that needlepointers struggle with the most, especially, how to pick a background stitch.
I have been following Joanna’s canvas line “The Plum Stitchery” on Instagram ever since she came on to the needlepoint scene earlier this year. Hey everyone! Happy holidays! I can hardly believe it is December 20th. James just graduated from the Engineer Captain’s Career Course last week, and finally was able to move out and join me in Colorado this past Monday. It’s so nice to both be living in the same place again (especially right before Christmas!) even if we don’t have a tree, and are still surrounded by mountains of unpacked boxes!
