Okay. I typed that title totally unintentionally… and now that I’m catching the double meaning, so I guess it should actually read:
“Hello from Virginia… in Virginia!”
Let me explain… this post is coming to you all from Fredericksburg, Virginia! I’m in the process of driving down to North Carolina for an audition this weekend- but needed to stop and take a break from driving after leaving home around 5:30 this am. (Much too early for me!!) But I figured blog with you while I stopped to grab an early lunch and a coffee midway!
Haven’t had much of a chance to stitch this morning (for obvious reasons), but here’s a sneak peak of the progress I’ve made on Melissa‘s “Party in the Coop” (Vicki Sawyer). I’ve certainly been busy this past week. I’ve been trying my hand at some new ribbon work, and it’s been really fun to try and come up with a unique way to stitch each bird! And yes… I did graph out chicken wire so they look like they are actually in a chicken coop!
Sometimes you just get inspired by a canvas and it’s so hard to stop!

(Sorry the canvas doesn’t photograph better on my phone!)
Anyhow, I’m now armed with a coffee and about to hit the road again. If you check back in later… I’ll be sure to share some of the highlights of my trip with you! After all, you can’t go on a road trip without stoping at a needlepoint store (or two!) in route! But that’s a post for another day!
To see more pictures and get updates from my trip follow along on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Bloglovin’ and Pinterest!

You drove right past me! Hope you had a good trip and got some goodies at the shops along the way. Next time you do a road trip, we’ll have to meet up at Waste Knot in Arlington.
For sure Whitney!!! I’ll hold you to that next time 🙂
HOLA BUENAS TARDES, ESTAN MUY BONITAS LAS CREACIONES QUE MUESTRAN. FELICIDADES
