Happy October, everyone! After a long summer, things are finally starting to cool down here in North Carolina. It definitely feels like fall outside now. Bring on the sweaters, scarves, warm blankets and cozy evenings of stitching! This weekend we have a fun new online class for you all. Haunted Halloween Stitches teaches techniques for all things spooky. Bats, black cats, witches, brooms, cauldrons, pumpkins and so much more. The perfect class to get you in the fall spirit!
This online class is perfect for all skill levels from advanced beginner onwards. The class includes blank canvas, stitch guide and thread pack (including beads and fun glow in the dark threads!) in a Needlepoint.Com logo bag — as well as access to our online videos! Discover new ways to bring your halloween stitching to life!

Today we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone!
Today on Stitch Style, I’m sharing my favorite St. Patrick’s Day canvases:
Happy Sunday, everyone!
There have been so many exciting things going on at Needlepoint.Com lately- the Raleigh Retreat and Sights and Scenes of London featured in Needlepoint Now– I’m excited to share with you our newest Mini Hot Air Balloon Club!
My favorite thing about these balloons is how versatile they really are! While I know these will be making an appearance on our Christmas Tree- I think they would make the perfect addition to your Easter, or Valentines Day decorations, too. Plus, with their soft pastel colors, I think they would make the sweetest baby gift ever!
The new club begins April 1st, and includes all six of the new Kirk and Bradley Mini Hot Air Balloons, a stitch guide, and all the threads you will need to complete the project! One new canvas will arrive at your doorstep each month. The Mini balloons are stitched with lots of fun techniques- beading, crescents, stripped Kreinik couching- these little guys are the perfect opportunity to learn something new! On the other hand, if you’re intimidated by all the different stitches in there, all the threads included in the kit could be used to Basketweave your project- you would just need to order a little extra background thread, since the background in the kit is an open stitch.
Here is a closeup of my favorite balloon, stitched:
PS. If you’re a fan of these little guys, make sure to check out our larger Single and Multi Hot Air Balloon Class. For those of you unable to make it to the shop, they will be available to order as kits soon!

Happy Mother’s day, everyone! I hope you all are able to spend some quality time with your families today. I’m so excited that we’re taking my mom out to dinner at Quattro Pazzi, this evening- and of course I already brought her a bunch of hyacinths this morning!
(They smell so good!)
Today on the blog I’m sharing this piece my mom has been stitching by Associated Talents. Isn’t it fun? And such a great opportunity to learn new stitches and techniques on the different stripes and letters. (Check out “Joy” and “Be Jolly” designs too!) The great thing about so many of AT’s designs have free stitch guides that can be found here on their website. My mom has loved this design since it came out with it. She gives so much of her time and energy to her family, and friends, that I’m really glad she’s taking time to stitch this for herself.
I know I’ve mentioned it before, but my mom is the one who taught me to stitch so many years ago! She’s always there to lend a helping hand when I fall behind shipping guides and get overwhelmed. But more than that she’s always been my number one supporter- I’m so lucky to have her in my life!
