Happy Thursday, everyone! We’ve almost made it to the weekend! I’ve been dying to share these photos of the ribbonwork canvas I’ll be teaching at Needlepoint.Com’s upcoming Raleigh Retreat with you all! Those of you who follow me on Instagram may have seen the sneak peek I posted last week when my framer texted me a picture to say they were finished. But you all get to be the first to see it up close here!
I’m just so pleased with how the whole project turned out. I love the way the white makes all the colors in the shadow box pop out and seem even more vibrant. It just looks so clean and bright!
I’d love to have you all join me for the class. I’ll be teaching this piece in Raleigh, North Carolina on March 19th, 2017 from 9:30 am -3:00 pm. It’s sure to be a really wonderful day- I like a really relaxed classroom environment, so everyone is free to have fun. Plus if you’re intimidated or need extra help practicing a stitch, we will have tons of class “angels” floating around to offer extra assistance!
The whole weekend is such an incredibly exciting event, but my favorite part of the weekend is the wine and cheese party held in the shop on Friday and Saturday night. It’s such a nice opportunity for those of us teaching to get to know our guests better, in a less formal setting! Our attendees get to shop our exclusive trunk shows and go behind the scenes into our needlepoint warehouse- an opportunity that doesn’t happen often!
To sign up for the class, call the shop today to hold your spot, or you can register online here. If you can’t join us for the class, call the shop at 919-828-5538 to preorder your kit today!
Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start! I was so excited last week when I saw that Lycette Designs had teamed up with Indigo Home Shop, that I had to share the news with you all myself! Lycette Designs now offers Dana’s work adapted into needlepoint canvases. I know this is going to be such a fabulous collaboration between two very talented artists.
You may have heard of Indigo Home Shop for their chic Chinoiserie style pumpkins and dog bowls. Dana also designs these darling puppy dog trivets that read “Home… where someone always runs to greet you!” I think they’re just precious!
BUT wait until you see the design adapted to needlepoint… I don’t think it gets much cuter than this!
The third design in the series right now is this Chinoiserie style Pagoda. The blue and white makes for such a classic, timeless look! I can hardly wait to see these three canvases stitched and finished by talented needlepointers out there!
Between Tess and Thorn and Lycette Designs (both canvas designers) and Sweet Sundays (a blog that features both needlepoint and other sweet treats), I have been so excited and inspired to see so many young, fresh faces take the needlepoint industry by a storm recently!
If you would like to order any of these three designs call the shop at 919-828-5538.
We would be happy to kit them and ship them right to your home!
Hey everyone! Needlepoint.Com is having an AMAZING sale this weekend that you sure won’t want to miss! All “available now” canvases are 20% off between now and midnight!
We have tons of brand new canvases that Melissa, Nancy and the entire team selected and brought back from Dallas Market– including designs hot off the press!
You may be asking which canvases exactly fall under this category? If you visit the website, and take a look under “canvases” you will find a page dedicated to canvases we have in stock and ready to stitch right now! Simply click “available now” to access them. Our team at Needlepoint.Com does an amazing job of keeping this page updated and current.
Sometimes it can be tough to have to wait 6-8 weeks for a canvas if a designer doesn’t have that particular one in stock and it has to be painted! With this section of our website, we hope to eliminate that problem!
It’s a great place to shop if you are on a deadline! Here are a few of my favorites that we have in stock:
Love this precious Scott Church Beaver with Candy Cane
(his stuff is so whimsical!)
Hurry up and get your orders in before midnight! This sale is going, going, gone!
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! Today I wanted to share a quick post about this adorable Burnett & Bradley Warm Winter Mitten online class, now available at Needlepoint.Com.
We’ve been working hard to put together a group of classes geared towards newer stitchers or stitchers who haven’t done a ton of decorative stitches before. After all, the more needlepointers the merrier! This class is one of my personal favorites: with only three different colors in the design, this canvas has such a classic look. It would make the perfect addition to your holiday decorations- and best of all, you can leave this design out all winter long!
The online class comes with painted canvas (18 count!), threads, a printed stitch guide, needles, a Needlepoint.Com logo bag and access to our exclusive online videos. It really has everything you need to sit down and stitch right away. Plus, with so much instructional information it would certainly make a great gift for a dear friend.
You don’t want to miss out on this one… only a few kits remain!
Happy October, everyone! After a long summer, things are finally starting to cool down here in North Carolina. It definitely feels like fall outside now. Bring on the sweaters, scarves, warm blankets and cozy evenings of stitching! This weekend we have a fun new online class for you all. Haunted Halloween Stitches teaches techniques for all things spooky. Bats, black cats, witches, brooms, cauldrons, pumpkins and so much more. The perfect class to get you in the fall spirit!
This online class is perfect for all skill levels from advanced beginner onwards. The class includes blank canvas, stitch guide and thread pack (including beads and fun glow in the dark threads!) in a Needlepoint.Com logo bag — as well as access to our online videos! Discover new ways to bring your halloween stitching to life!
