Hey everyone! This has been a crazy week. We’re gearing up for our big Raleigh Retreat at Needlepoint.Com, so much of the past two weeks has been filled with preparations for that. We’re so excited to welcome all our guests to the shop next weekend, and I can hardly wait to teach these classes!
In the mean time, I wanted to share a little ornament that came back from the finisher this week. This Silver Needle Ornament of Santa’s house at the North Pole has been in my stash for a while, and I’m happy to say it’s finally completed.
I used Kreinik #8 Braid to stitch a Bargello pattern for the sky. The snow on the ground is a Dutch stitch, and the snow on the top of Santa’s House is done in Gathered Flair. Of course, the siding on the home was satin stitched using Splendor. The wreath is done in French Knots and I even tied a little bow on the greenery to top it all off! A simple gold trim worked perfectly to tie the whole piece together and provide a finishing touch!
(Plus it matches our St. Louis ornament perfectly!)
This ornament is available for purchase online here.
I know this is going to be such a sweet little addition to our Christmas tree in 2016!
