Kate Dickerson Letters

Hi friends!

You all may remember that I had some finishing come back from the finisher this past Saturday. Not only did my Zebra come home, but so did the Kate Dickerson Letter “J” that I stitched.

I know most of you probably know me as “Virginia” since that’s the name I go by professionally, but I’ve always been Jinny with a “J” to my family. Why a “J” and not a “G”? Well, I was named for my grandmother Virginia Haywood… Growing up her uncle always teasingly spelled her name with a “J” and eventually it stuck! So that’s the spelling I took, too.

I think this ornament ended up being pretty cute. Recently I’ve really liked having hard gussets put on the sides of my smaller ornaments- have you seen the starfish I had finished a similar way? Such an easy way to add a ton of extra character to simpler pieces.

Kate’s letters come in a variety of different color ways and patterns. Another really popular way of finishing them has been to put them in these Lee Jewelry Boxes. It keeps the cost of finishing down, and speeds the process up, too!

Is anyone else working on one of these canvases too? If so, how are you planning on finishing it?
