Morning everyone!
What isn’t there to love about this little Scott Church zebra? He’s all bundled up in his snow gear, ready for a chilly winter’s day.
I have been a huge fan of Scott Church’s work ever since CBK first started distributing it. With lots of open areas of color, I find his artwork especially well suited for needlepoint.
That’s why I’ve finally decided to try my hand at bringing this whimsical Zebra to life…
But I have a fun idea!
In the next few weeks I will be starting a series of posts called “Stitch Along Sunday.”
I’ll be sharing my stitch guide for the zebra as I stitch him (diagrams, fiber lists, close up pictures… the works!) Don’t worry about the difficulty level… it’s nothing we can’t handle together. I promise to take you step by step through everything I do!
I have lots of ideas for this little guy, and I’m excited to share them with all of you.
Everyone who stitches along with me (and completes their piece!) will have their finished project featured on Stitch Style.
So, order your canvas from your local needlepoint store, or pull him out of your stash… I’d love to have you all join me!
Love this zebra! I have been looking at him for a while! This makes me want to go buy him now! Can’t wait to see what you do with him! So fun!
What a fun idea. Wish I could stitch along with you on this adorable project, but am unable to do so at this time. However, will very much enjoy reading about your progress, stitches chosen, etc. You’re right–the zebra is a cutie.

I will be stopping int the store on Saturday! Can’t wait !!
Was admiring this canvas at market. You pushed me over the edge! Ordered it yesterday and looking forward to stitching it virtually with you. At 13 mesh it will be fun and fast!
Yay! I’m so happy that you’ll be stitching along, Melissa! Be sure to keep me updated on your progress 🙂 I can hardly wait to see pictures!
Can you tell us the canvas size, and who might have it in stock, so we don’t miss any lessons?
Hi Susan! The zebra is on 13 mesh and is distributed by CBK. You can certainly order him through the Enriched Stitch, although he is not currently in stock, and will have to be ordered from the designer.
Count me in! Sounds fun!
Yay! So excited you’ll be joining me Martha! I think he’s going to make the cutest pillow when he’s all finished!
I ordered the canvas already so the timing is perfect! I don’t live near a store I’ll probably have to order threads online-I’m fairly new and don’t have much of a stash, but I’m ready to roll.
Well, that IS perfect timing! I will post a thread list once I’m a little further along in the piece. Anything you can’t find online, you can always order through The Enriched Stitch in Wilton, CT! They will have access to all the threads I’m using!
I am going to order the canvas and threads too. Hope I am not too far behind. Can’t wait to learn some new stitches and complete the cute zebra.
So excited you’ll be stitching along too, Jan! This is going to be a lot of fun!
