Today on the blog, I’m writing about my Kate Dickerson Whales.
I stitched them about a year ago, but am just now getting to share them with all of you!
I picked three different canvases- they are each about 5 by 2 1/2 inches and on 18 mesh. I finished them to hang one over another from a door knob. They now live in my bedroom on my closet door and I think they’re just as cute as they could be.
I squared out the background for ease of finishing- I think they hang much more evenly this way than they would on their own. I just love the ribbon that was chosen to connect the three together. It’s the perfect colors to help coordinate the three different designs into one cohesive unit.
Kate makes these whales in a variety of different patterns. Some are patchwork, some argyle and some ribbon. There are also some larger ones that can be personalized with monograms and made into pillows! She has even started making them for different locations on the East Coast. Look at how cute they all are!!
